When I was little, my brothers and I would do what all brothers do - throw rocks at each other, hit each other with blunt objects, push each other off high ledges, and get rightfully punished for these deeds by our parents. However, our punishments involved writing, running and digging trenches. Somewhere along the way, I found myself left with a valuable work ethic I can only attribute to them, and it's worked to my advantage for a long time now, whether I find myself writing a paper or backpacking across deserts and mountains.
I've always had a knack for pushing through the annoyance of not having the knowledge or resources to accomplishing something, by getting the knowledge, then pooling resources and coming up with a far different end result than I had originally expected. This held true throughout school and Boy Scouts until I found myself making homemade movies with my friends and whatever we could find around our houses. These small projects, coupled with my involvement in theater and the support (with the occasional eye-rolling) of my parents, helped start my career in visual arts. When I joined the Yearbook class in High School and was forced to learn Photoshop, it was an experience that opened my eyes to a world of infinite visual possibilities.
For the next few years, I wandered about trying my hand at a variety of different jobs that included editing, compositing, animation and web design. During college, I went from teaching Photoshop classes at an elementary school to doing layout for a newspaper, serving as a production assistant on a bunch of cool movies, shooting and editing short films, commercials, infomercials and television shows, animating graphics for television, photographing sports, weddings and a bunch of interesting people, building websites, getting my B.A. and, most recently, being appointed as C.E.O. of Attraction Industries. The experiences and learning I've had up to this point in my life have helped me understand the importance of integrity and social responsibility, and I look forward to shaping Attraction Industries into a company that reflects these values.
